We are fundraising to help with the care of our horses and other animals during this pandemic.
We sincerely hope that you are staying safe during these challenging times. Ebony Horsewomen, Inc. (EHI) Equestrian and Therapeutic Center has been operating for the past 36 years helping to heal and improve lives through horses via equine-assisted therapeutic programs and equine-assisted psychotherapy.
EHI has put several procedures in place to guarantee the continued safety of our clients and staff as according to the CDC. As the situation progresses with the Covid-19 Virus, we have suspended all youth riding programs, after school classes, equine therapeutic sessions, private riding lessons, as well as discontinuing community service and volunteer involvement to keep our community safe. EHI has always been a source of calm and a respite in our community, but we must now think first of the health and safety of everyone who comes through our doors.
Tuition and fees are our primary source of income, and this stopped when we discontinued programming.
We still have to maintain the proper care and feeding of our herd of 15 horses, 6 rabbits, 2 cats, 8 chickens, lizards, and turtles as well as ferrets, and hay, feed, and veterinary care are quite costly. We are hoping that you can consider helping us care for our animals while we ride out these uncertain times. These are tough times, but we'll all get through with your help.
